- Binu Parthan is REEEP’s Deputy Director General and responsible for the co-ordination of REEEP’s project portfolio, which involves more than a hundred high quality projects in more than forty countries, primarily in the developing world. Prior to joining REEEP, Binu was an executive director of IT Power India, a company he co-founded where he led the energy and environment practice. As a consultant and expert Binu has contributed to over 50 assignments for international agencies such as the World Bank, EU, IEA, UNDP, UNIDO, UN-DESA, UN-ESCAP, UNEP, UNFCCC-CDM Executive Board, WHO, DfID, KfW, PCFPlus NRCan, DANIDA, USAID, MITI, ICEF as well as government, institutional, private and civil society clients in sustainable energy, climate change and related financing and institutional mechanisms. His professional experience covers fourteen countries including developing countries in Asia and Africa. Binu has also authored or co-authored five books and thirty-six publications apart from forty-five professional reports.
