EE Global Forum 2009

The inaugural EE Global, which was held in November 2007 in Washington D.C., received tremendous support, drawing over 850 exhibitors, speakers, media and attendees representing more than 30 countries.  This year’s EE Global promises to be an even greater success, as hosting the event in Paris will allow leaders of energy efficiency in Europe to showcase various approachesCore to livelihoods approaches are a set of principles that underpin best practice in any development intervention: *People-centred *Responsive and participatory *Multi-level *Conducted in partnership * Sustainable *Dynamic and strategies for energy-efficiency operation, while also learning from those from around the globe who will be speaking at and attending the event.

The speakers will address a wide range of the most crucial energy efficiency topics, ranging from innovative policies and programs they have spearheaded, to providing insight and perspective on the role of energy efficiency in achieving energy security.

EE Global seeks to not only exchange the latest technical, commercial and policy information, but to also forge partnerships and develop “best practices” policies for global implementation to address the pressingPressing is a mechanical process to extract oil from oily plants and seeds. climateClimate is typically defined as the average weather (or more rigorously a statistical description of the average in terms of the mean and variability) over a period of time, usually 30 years. These quantities are most often surface variables such as temperature, precipitation, and wind. Climate ... and energy challenges that our world faces.  In order to do so, the format for EE Global 2009 allows for self-created agendas and plenty of networking opportunities through the following outlets:

  • Four Plenary Sessions delivering insightful and engaging remarks made by industry leaders from around the globe.
  • Twenty-four concurrent Executive Dialogue Sessions with tracks specifically organized around the buildings, industrial and utility, transportation and consumer sectors, with sessions in each focusing on a variety of timely topics in the areas of policy, finance, technology and market transformation; and,
  • A 40,000-square foot Exposition Hall housing the very latest in energy-efficient products and services, featuring the very people who create and market them.

While there are many conferences and symposia organized around the issue of energy,
none to date has sought to build the strategic alliances between the international governments, business and public interest sector that are the hallmark of the EE Global series.
